We are thrilled to celebrate the seventh work anniversary of our Senior Associate Family Law Solicitor, Antony Wilkinson! Over the years, Antony has become an integral part of southgate solicitors, and as he reflects on his journey, we wanted to share his personal experience and the milestones he’s reached.

“I have reached the year of the lucky number seven at southgate solicitors, and the past year has been a very lucky one indeed. I have travelled to South America on a sabbatical, passed my Children Law Accreditation, and embarked on a new chapter of my career by representing children and guardians in care proceedings.”

For Antony, this milestone year has been filled with exciting new opportunities. He took time off to explore South America, an experience that recharged his spirit and broadened his horizons. On returning, he passed his Children Law Accreditation and dove into a new area of work that’s been both professionally fulfilling and personally rewarding.

“Since coming back to work, I have hit the ground running and started to build a case load of this new work, and I am thoroughly enjoying it (in my own nerdy way!). I am eager to do more of this work, as it has been a refreshing change after a whole ten years of being a qualified solicitor!”

For Antony, the shift to representing children and guardians in care proceedings has been a fresh and exciting challenge. His passion for family law continues to grow, and he’s embraced this new chapter of his career with enthusiasm and dedication. After ten years as a qualified solicitor, he’s eager to dive deeper into this area of law, helping those who need it most.

“I am forever grateful for what I have at southgate solicitors, and having a four-day week has continued to allow me to balance my work and personal life (I am writing this on a train to see my parents, for example!). It is a wonderful thing knowing that when the work gets full-on, you get to have a little break midweek to do your own thing.”

One of the many things Antony appreciates about working at southgate solicitors is the work-life balance we offer. With a four-day workweek, he’s able to manage his professional responsibilities while maintaining his personal well-being. Whether it’s traveling or simply taking time off to visit family, this balance allows him to recharge and return to work with renewed energy and focus.
